Cost: The costs vary depending upon the length of time that you choose to stay. They have winter, pensioners rates which are very reasonable. 2026 prices are not yet published. Check on their website. Many of our members head off to Spain and Portugal for the winter. We seem to be scattered all over and we each have our preferred locations. A small number of our group meet up at El Naranjal in Javea during the first quarter and particularly in February. Some arrive just after Christmas and some leave as late as Easter. You can pick a period to suit you and try to secure a pitch (see below). Javea is a very good place to stop over in the winter. There are many ex-pats who live in the area, and consequently, the town is open and lively. The campsite is typically Spanish and crowded but it is only a few hundred yards to the sea front. There are numerous shops and cafés to choose from, all within a reasonable walking distance. Take your bicycles to enjoy easy cycling in the area and explore an even greater choice of bars and restaurants both in Javea Old town and in the surrounding, more rural areas. The campsite owners and staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and will try to accomodate your wishes as best they can. However, El Naranjal is very popular, particularly with Brits and Dutch and is often fully booked up a year in advance. Your best chance of getting a pitch is to try in September for winter bookings. In September, the campsite asks those who have pre booked, to place a deposit. This is when some pre reserved pitches become available. Hopefully, we may see a few more of you there in 2026, even if you only pop in for a few nights just to say “hello”.
